Greetings! Many times when I share the importance of drinking water, I hear that water is not the first beverage choice for many people. But water helps with blood circulation, body temperature regulation, joint movement, detoxification, digestion, hydration and more. However, I believe that even though there are a variety of reasons for people bypassing such an important necessity for life, water's lack of taste is probably the biggest factor. So, I thought it would be a good time to encourage and motivate you to be mindful of the amount of water you are drinking each day. As a reminder, the equation for individual water intake is: weight / 2 = number of ounces of water per day for hydration. Of course this equation should be modified for anyone with health challenges, as well as modified based on levels of physical activity.

That said, this very short video message contains suggestions to enhance the taste and nutritional value of water. Here a few more organic additions to create a more delicious water beverage: apples, pineapples, apple cider vinegar with raw honey, cucumbers, berries, watermelon, limes, fruit flavored ice cubes, fresh mint leaves, pomegranate seeds, ginger.

Refreshing Water Recipe:

1 pitcher of spring/filtered water

1 organic cucumber (sliced)

1 organic lemon (sliced and squeezed)

10 organic fresh mint leaves (crushed to release oil)

Add all ingredients to pitcher covered with water

Allow water to infuse for at least 1 hour

Enjoy!

Note: If water is not consumed within 4 hours, remove ingredients and eat or add to recipes. For educational purposes only.
